Sarah comes from a good religious family. After completing high school, like so many of her friends she went to do her National Service in the Tel Aviv area. There she met Avi, seemingly a nice "Jewish boy" who even knew much Torah. After a few months, they were in "love" and dreamt of marriage. It was then that her whole world came crashing down, when Sarah found out that "Avi" was really Ibrahim, an Arab from Jaffa.

Having heard a lecture about assimilation in Israel by one of our counselors a few years back, Sarah called to get help from the Chemla Fund. Thank G-d, with the help of our expert team of counselors she has left "Avi" and is back on the right track, staying in contact with us every week.
